What the features change in daily use

The current product package matters because Classic versions have changed. The page checked for this profile lists both a Flow Control portafilter and a Bottomless 2-in-1 portafilter. Flair says the bottomless route requires an espresso-capable burr grinder; do not assume every coffee-preparation option is equally forgiving.

A $159 brewer is not a complete $159 espresso station. You must provide hot water and decide how to prepare the coffee. A latte setup also requires separate milk equipment. Account for those items before comparing it with an electric pump machine.

Plan space for the base, a cup and the full movement of the lever. Check the manufacturer’s current setup guidance when measuring a tight counter space.

Advantages and limitations

Reasons to consider it

  • A manual lever and pressure gauge for a hands-on routine.
  • Two manufacturer-listed portafilter options in the current package.
  • A low checked machine-only price relative to the powered models in this catalog.

Reasons to reconsider

  • You supply the hot water and any milk equipment.
  • Repeated individual-shot preparation may not suit a group routine.
  • Leave enough clearance to operate the lever.

Hot water, coffee preparation, and separate milk equipment if required.
